In this short video, I'm going to show you two specific uses for Auto Tune Pro within Logic Pro X.
The first is simple real-time pitch correction. Imovie won t update.
- Open the CA dialog and the Pitch Cor. Mouse click the 'C' key in the Pitch Cor plugin to switch it to note ON and play note ON on your external controller - say C1 ( Do not release the C1 key yet )! Mouse click the 'C' key in the Pitch Cor plugin to switch it to note OFF and release the C1 key on your external controller.

You might think, what's the big deal about that? The answer is in how easy it is to set up and how natural it sounds.
The second example utilizes the MIDI-controlled audio unit version within Logic Pro X.
This allows it to listen to audio fed into its side chain input while responding to either live or pre-recorded MIDI on that track. It's a fantastic way to creatively re-pitch vocals on the fly, particularly when paired with the return of Auto Tune Pro's 'classic' mode.

There are a lot of plugins out there. And there are plenty of websites reminding us all the time about the expensive plugins we “should” use.
It used to be the Waves plugins everyone insisted we should own. These days you can’t go anywhere online without someone jocking the UAD stuff!
You can burn a hole in your pocket pretty quickly chasing that “secret weapon” for your Projects.

And it can be a shaming experience for us home studio owners. Everywhere you turn we’re reminded that we don’t have the right stuff for great music. That we have:
