The Sims 4 Macbook Air M1

Hello, I have a question. I recently bought a new computer (macbook air) and downloaded the origin and my sims games. But I can only play for a few minutes and then the computer hangs so I have to turn it off forcibly. Then I uninstalled the original and downloaded it again. It makes the 13-inch MacBook pro quite difficult to recommend. Last year the MacBook Air got the update it deserved and since then there has been a further upgrade in 2020 with the addition of a True Tone display, a lower entry-level starting price, and Apple’s new M1 processor. Hi, I decided to get a new macbook M1, but I can't decide which one to get. I am currently a grad school student. Usually I just use the computer for school work (essays, projects, emails), Youtube, and regular usage. I do use it for other kinds of purposes like music editing and video editing (but not to the extent of a professional). Sometimes I play games like the Sims 4 (also not an intensive gamer). Should I get the air or pro, depending on my usage? Right now, I prefer the Air because of the price and the amount of work it can do. But I'm afraid it will get really hot and slow as I increase the workload. I want to keep the new macbook for at least 6 years. If I do end up getting the Air, should I upgrade the RAM to 16GB? Thanks in advance!

Apple M1 chip comes in the MacBook Air, MacBook Pro 13″, and Mac Mini. The gaming experience can differ in these Macs as they pack different hardware other than the Apple M1 chip. But all three Macs will be able to run all the games that are given in the list. Games that are Compatible with M1 Macs. I bought my laptop brand new, do the hard drive was what, 4 years-old and I had been played TS4 for maybe 2 years. I'm playing TS4 on M1 MacBook Pro. You can play it on MacBook Air. But unlike Pro, Air doesn't have a cooling fan. It might be causing throttling when you play a long time. So I was watching the video linked below and it shows that the temps on the macbook air m1 does sadly still get insanely hot (atleast imo?) on the cpu under sustained load. This is while honestly understandable is still worrying to me since I do plan to get a macbook air m1 and really don't want to spend 300$ more for the pro (es since the.

The Sims 4 is the latest entry in the legendary Sims series and features tons of new systems that make it the more sophisticated and enthralling Sims game to date.

The Sims 4 on Mac

The Sims 4 hasn’t always delivered great Mac support. For a while, it was no longer playable due to a lack of 64-bit support. But ever since, developer Maxis has stepped up its game and ensure The Sims 4 on Mac is just as good as on Windows.

Is The Sims 4 worth it? The reviews

So did The Sims 4 delivered? Is it as good as its predecessors? The game didn’t receive exceptional reviews at launch. Most agreed The Sims 3 had more to do and they punished The Sims 4 for it.

Yet The Sims 4 has always had more depth. And since its initial release, the game has received plenty of updates and DLCs.

Bottom line: In spite of average reviews, The Sims 4 is the best Sims game you can buy today, by far.

The Sims 4 M1 Mac benchmarks

The table summarizes our results as well as results from other members of the community:

As a reminder, this is how we describe the different levels of performance:

  • Below 20 FPS: Unplayable: Laggy gameplay, full of stutters and slowdowns.
  • 20-30 FPS: Borderline: Can be OK in slow-paced games. Still, not optimal.
  • 30-45 FPS: Playable: Acceptable for most (most gaming consoles do this).
  • 45-60 FPS: Smooth: Fluid gameplay, with no perceivable stutters.
  • 60+ FPS: Very Smooth: For hardcore and professional players, a luxury for most.

We usually aim for 30 FPS, because 30 FPS is enough to guarantee a smooth and fluid experience for most casual gamers.
